In May 2012 the Silesian University of Technology OSA and SPIE Student Chapters will organize the annual conference for young researchers, students and PhD students working in the field of optics and optoelectronics.

“The Opto Meeting for Young Researchers & 7th International SPIE Students Chapter Meeting Gliwice 2012”

This conference will be a continuation of OSA and SPIE Meetings that had  previously been held by OSA and SPIE chapters in Wroclaw and Torun.

The main goal of the conference is to introduce participants to recent trends in the field of optics and optoelectronics, provide possibility for knowledge exchange as well as develop personal relations with members of other chapters/institutions.
Although conference will mainly be focused on broadly understood optoelectronics we strive to  encourage people from other fields of science to participate and share their ideas and scientific results. The program of the conference includes formal part; e.g. lectures, workshops, seminars, posters as well as informal events aimed at building relations on a personal level.

Each year we invite lecturers from all over the world to visit our conference.
The event will be organised in cooperation with OSA/SPIE Chapters from Torun, Wroclaw and Warsaw.

We would like to invite all of You to attend “The Opto Meeting for Young Researchers & 7th International SPIE Students Chapter Meeting Gliwice 2012”. The conference will be held between
17th - 20th  May 2012.
